Important: Screen Resolution vs. Edible Print Output

Please be advised that there is a significant technical difference between how an image appears on a digital screen and how it appears when physically printed using edible inks.

Why Your Print May Differ from Your Screen:

  • Backlit vs. Edible Media: Digital screens are backlit and can make low-resolution images appear sharper than they actually are. Edible inks and frosting sheets have different absorption rates than standard paper, which can naturally soften an image.
  • The "300DPI" Trap:  A file may be saved with a 300 DPI setting, but if the original source was a small web image or screenshot, it lacks the "actual" detail. Changing the label to 300 DPI does not create new detail.
  • Forced Stretching (Resizing): If we are required to meet a specific size request (e.g., 16cm width) using a low-resolution file, we must "stretch" the image. This enlargement causes unavoidable pixelation and blurriness.
  • Color Variance: Screens use RGB (light), while edible printers use food-grade CMYK (ink). Some neon or ultra-bright colors seen on the monitor cannot be perfectly replicated with the edible food colorings.

Our Quality Policy:

To ensure a crisp, high-quality result, we strongly recommend providing "Ready-to-Print" files at the exact physical dimensions you require. We cannot "create" detail that is not present in your original file.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that final print quality is strictly dependent on the resolution of the file provided and that forced resizing of low-quality files will result in a loss of clarity.
